I’ve been paraplegic since my serious work accident five years ago and rely heavily on the small Angels team who help me out three times each day. As I live on my own, life is so much easier with their help. They couldn’t be more helpful or caring whether getting me in and out of bed, showering or accompanying me on shopping trips. There are some days when I wouldn’t see anyone without the visits of your carers and I greatly value the friendly chats we have together.

My life was turned upside down when I fell from a ladder. I still find it amazing that I can continue to live an independent, enjoyable life in my own home – and that just wouldn’t be possible without the daily care and companionship I receive from my local Angels Carers. Following an illness, my elderly mother and I realised she needed assistance to get ready each morning, as I have to leave home early each day for work. My mother was initially concerned at the thought of "strangers" looking after her and I also wondered whether I was leaving her in good hands.

Since Social Services suggested we contact Angels to help care for Dad following a nasty fall three years ago, both my sister and I feel we have had a great weight lifted from our shoulders. Even though we live a long distance away, we know that your whole team really does everything to ensure the wellbeing of our 95 year old Dad through his ongoing care package.

When we stay with Dad, his carers offer such a breath of fresh air with their cheerful manner and he says their visits are such an important part of each day. Without your home carers helping us over the past 2½ years, it may not have been possible for both of us to stay living in our own home. With your help I was able to help my wife cope with MS and when I needed heart surgery your carers really came to the rescue by visiting us four times a day. My wife really enjoys her chats with your carers. Without their companionship she may not speak to other women as she rarely leaves the house these days. I wanted to write to thank you for the wonderful care your team offered my late mother over the past three years. Your carers called every morning to help my mother wash, get dressed and give her breakfast. These visits provided some daily respite for my brother who had been caring for her and, when he too became ill, your carers also helped to put my mother to bed each evening during a second daily visit.

When I met your carers, it was obvious to me that they enjoy what they do as they are all so friendly and supportive. They helped my mother, me and my family and we would definitely use Angels again if we need home care in Cardiff in the future.
